Workshop Policy

Form is not required for in house/ monthly workshops this REGISTRATION is for Special workshops. Please read this Workshop Policy before booking
Workshop registration is on a first come/first served basis.

Registration will begin on the date specified in the workshop announcement (at the guild meeting and in Quillo) and will continue until the maximum number of participants is reached (usually 15).

A wait-list will be maintained if there are more people who wish to register than places.
Guild members will be given priority over non-members for all workshops.
We strongly recommend that you register at our guild meetings or online.

Your full payment should be made in cash/cheque ( payable to the Calligraphers’ Guild of WA Inc) or online to the Bank of Queensland BSB 126572 Account no. 2045523. If paying online please ensure that your name is entered against your deposit.

For members experiencing financial hardship a 50% deposit will be accepted on registration with the balance to be paid 4 weeks before the workshop. Default on paying the balance will mean the loss of the deposit.

CANCELLATIONS
If there are not enough registrants to fill a workshop, then the workshop will be cancelled and your payment returned to you.

If you cannot make the workshop, contact the Workshop Committee so that the people on the waitlist will have first priority to take your place.

If no-one on the waitlist is able to attend, or if there is no waitlist, you may find someone to take your place.
Refunds will be given out only:

  • if the workshop is cancelled by the Workshop Committee.
  • if your place is filled from the waitlist
  • you find someone to take your place.
Please give the Workshop Committee as much notice as possible.

The Workshop Committee will not undertake to call people on the waitlist with less than 48 hours’ notice.

Because the Workshop Committee incurs costs to hire tutors and rent a venue, and with accommodation and transportation expenses, we are not able to refund your payment unless your place is filled.
