Martin Dickie – Continuing with his study of Insular Capitals, Martin was inspired by a piece from Celia Lister to write them not as Versals but with a non-edged nib, a Speedball B3. This resulted in this work, written *boustrophedon manner (as the ox ploughs) to emphasise that the lettering is decorative. The text is part of an article in Letter Arts Review by Rosamund Casey: ‘Creativity and the Roman Alphabet.’ *Written from right to left and from left to right in alternate lines.Leith Cohoe – Leith produced this piece by alternately dipping the same nib into blue and green Ecoline inks.Jenny Fowles – Jenny used watercolour for the background foliage and Ecoline ink for the text.Jenny used Ecoline inks to produce the look of watercolour for the background for her Uncial practice piece.
